“Rabies is not a rare disease within Sullivan County wildlife,” said Public Health Director Dr. Jessie Moore. “On average, we see 4 to 5 animals per year test positive for rabies.”

Conaty, District Attorney of Sullivan County, announced that a Sullivan County Jury found Jonathan Jorge, 30, of Monticello, guilty of two counts of Criminal Possession of Weapon in the Third Degree, Class D violent felonies, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree, a Class C felony, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, a Class A misdemeanor following a three-day jury trial.
