Public Notice: FTA Formula Grants for Rural Area Program (Section 5311)

Public notice is hereby made that the County of Sullivan - Department of Transportation is applying for federal financial assistance to provide public transportation service as follows:

Fixed Route Deviation, the project duration will be 2017 -2018, and 2018 – 2019, and the general service area covered will continue with Town of Callicoon, Town of Lumberland, Town of Bethel and Town of Thompson, with expansion being considered for Town of Liberty and Town of Mamakating.

ROAD CLOSURE: Starting May 1st, a portion of Willi Hill Rd in the Town of Bethel will close to replace County Bridge 98

The Sullivan County Division of Public Works is closing a portion of Willi Hill Rd. in the Town of Bethel, to replace County Bridge 98. County Bridge 98 is located approximately 200 feet north of the intersection of County Road 144 (Briscoe Rd.) and Willi Hill Rd. This section of Willi Hill, is scheduled to be closed to all traffic starting 8:00 AM, Monday, May 1st, 2017 and will remain closed for approximately five (5) months.

Sullivan County announces Lake Superior State Park Season Passes Available for Purchase Beginning April 21, 2017

(Monticello, NY 10:30am) - Sullivan County Legislator and Chair of Agriculture & Sustainability Committee Catherine Owens is pleased to announce that 2017 Lake Superior State Park Season Passes will become available for sale to Sullivan County residents and property owners at the Parks, Recreation and Beautification office, 100 North St., Monticello, NY on Friday, April 21, 2017. Each pass is $15.00 per person.

Sullivan County Legislature Authorizes Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Reimbursement Program For Municipalities and Public Library Districts

(Monticello, NY 4:00PM) – Sullivan County Manager Joshua Potosek is pleased to announce the immediate availability of funding for municipalities and public library districts for the installation of electric vehicle charging infrastructure.  The Sullivan County Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Reimbursement Program, approved by the Sullivan County Legislature at its regular monthly board meeting, will provide financial assistance for projects located on property owned by a town, village, or public library district.
