(Monticello, NY 4:00PM) – Sullivan County Manager Joshua Potosek is pleased to announce the immediate availability of funding for municipalities and public library districts for the installation of electric vehicle charging infrastructure.  The Sullivan County Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Reimbursement Program, approved by the Sullivan County Legislature at its regular monthly board meeting, will provide financial assistance for projects located on property owned by a town, village, or public library district.

(Monticello, NY 9:45 AM) - Sullivan County Legislature has announced that Sullivan County’s Annual Litter Pluck Event will take place from Saturday, May 6, 2017 through Sunday, May 14, 2017, and all school and community groups, as well as private citizens are urged to participate. The full legislative board voted to fund the bags and the associated waste disposal fees for this annual litter pluck event, through the County’s Parks, Recreation and Beautification Department and the Department of Public Works Department at its full board meeting on April 20, 2017.

(Monticello, NY 3:30 PM) Public Works Chair Joe Perrello announced today that the Sullivan County Legislature has approved the execution of agreements with municipalities for participation in the County’s 2017 Cleanup Initiative.

Perrello stated “The 2017 tonnage allocation has increased 43% in total for the towns and villages.   The Sullivan County Legislature and County Manager remain committed to this vital program and understand the importance of assisting our towns and villages in this effort”

(Monticello, NY) - There will be a Special Meeting of the Legislature for Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 9:10AM in the Legislative Chambers, 100 North Street, Monticello, New York. The purpose of the meeting is to approve real property repurchases and any other business that may come before the Legislature.

(Monticello, NY) - There will be a meeting of the Sullivan County Land Bank Corporation Board of Directors on Tuesday, May 2nd at 8:30AM in the Legislative Committee Room, 100 North Street, Monticello, New York. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss potential acquisition targets and review organizational matters.

(Liberty, NY 3:10pm) - Sullivan County Public Health Services is pleased to be able to co-sponsor an important free training with the NYS Health Department for clinical providers (physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants). The training, Buprenorphine Waiver Training for Clinical Providers is scheduled for this Saturday, May 6th, 2017 from 8:00AM to 1:00PM. Breakfast will be available beginning at 7:30AM.
