Our Early Intervention (EI) services and Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN) program are here to support the healthy development of your child.

Children and Early Intervention services

Please see the descriptions below for more information:

  • Early Intervention (EI): 0 to 3 years old
    • Service coordination and connection to evaluations for developmental delays (cognitive, physical, social, emotional, adaptive)
    • Connection to supportive services including: physical, occupational, and speech therapies, and special education services
  • Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE): 3 to 5 years old
    • Sullivan County works with school districts and families to create effective Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for preschoolers
    • Children can easily transition from Early Intervention to CPSE
  • Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN): 21 and under
    • Referral program for children 21 years and younger with access or functional needs who need a diagnosis or evaluation
    • Assistance with specialized medical devices for conditions previously diagnosed

Insurance information will be collected, but all services are provided free of charge.
