Loch Sheldrake, NY – Sixty fire department line officers from 20 Sullivan County fire departments attended this past weekend’s Sullivan County Fire Chiefs Conference in the Seelig Theater at SUNY Sullivan.

Barryville, NY – The Sullivan County Human Rights Commission, in partnership with the Barryville Area Arts Association, will  co-host “Plein Air on the Rocks,” an outdoor art reception to celebrate diversity, beauty, history and the contributions of early settlers during a Revolutionary War battle near Barryville in 1779.

Monticello, NY – For the third year in a row, the NYS Comptroller’s Office has designated Sullivan County free of fiscal stress.

The Office recently released its 2017 Fiscal Stress rankings for municipalities and school districts statewide, based on the annual financial reports submitted to the Office. Sullivan County again scored well, earning the best rank of “No Designation” (meaning there are no indications of the County being susceptible to fiscal stress at this time).
