Police Conduct Active-Shooter Training Inside Former Elementary School
White Lake, NY – Close to 30 police officers from Sullivan County and surrounding areas participated in active-shooter training this week through a coordinated effort between the County’s Office of Emergency Management and the Sheriff’s Office.
Utilizing the former Duggan Elementary School in White Lake (now a community center, but still owned by the Monticello Central School District), the officers honed their skills in tactical entry into and clearance of a building, teamwork and communications, and the treatment of wounds both serious and minor.
