Liberty, NY – With the summer season nigh, Sullivan County has been receiving numerous inquiries about whether summer camps and seasonal residences will be able or allowed to open for the next few months.
“We’ve heard from people on both sides of the debate over opening such facilities during the COVID-19 pandemic,” acknowledged Public Health Director Nancy McGraw. “In addition to the basic questions of ‘if’ and ‘when,’ we’ve been giving answers about what constitutes a summer camp and how it’s regulated differently from other seasonal occupancy units.”
Monticello, NY – Legislature Chairman Robert Doherty announces that Catskill Regional Medical Center CEO Jonathan Schiller will again join Legislature Vice Chair Mike Brooks, County Manager Josh Potosek and Public Health Director Nancy McGraw for a Live Town Hall this coming week.
“Our only hospital is the focus of attention during the COVID crisis, and Jonathan’s updates have consistently informed and calmed our anxious residents,” Doherty stated. “I appreciate the ongoing efforts of CEO Schiller and his team of heroes, and I look forward to welcoming him back this Thursday.”

Monticello, NY – The Sullivan County Legislature announces that the County’s Annual Roadside Litter Pluck Event will take place from Monday, May 18 through Tuesday, June 30, 2020. During that time, the County will waive the waste disposal fee for roadside litter plucked bags, through the County’s Parks, Recreation and Beautification Department and the Division of Public Works.
