County Develops Guide and Testing Plan for the Reopening of Local Public Schools

Liberty, NY – Sullivan County Public Health Services has released a draft of a County Contact Tracing and Testing Plan and a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) guide that will assist the County’s school districts in addressing COVID-19 health and safety parameters and contact tracing requirements while preparing to reopen this fall. The Public Health Director and staff participated in calls to go over questions on the draft document and will release it to the districts this week.

Town Halls Relaunch as "Let's Talk Sullivan" on August 31

Monticello, NY – Legislature Chairman Robert Doherty and Vice Chair Michael Brooks will host a rebooted Sullivan County Town Hall series, called “Let's Talk Sullivan,” beginning this Monday, August 31 on the County’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/sullivancountygov and YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/channel/UC-6KnDAiuQEnDNWO13Ev1sw. The presentation will be available starting at 1 p.m.

Possible COVID-19 Exposure at Picnic in Roscoe

Roscoe, NY – Sullivan County Public Health Services is alerting anyone who attended a private family picnic at the Roscoe Firemen’s Field on Saturday, July 25, that they may have been exposed to COVID-19 (2019 Novel Coronavirus).

“We just received the test results today, confirming the individual was contagious starting around July 24,” explained Public Health Director Nancy McGraw. “They are currently under quarantine.”
