County Clerk's Office Will Be Closed the Afternoon of January 21

Monticello, NY – Sullivan County Clerk Russell Reeves is advising the public that the County Clerk’s Office will be closed to walk-in business after 12 p.m. on January 21, 2026 due to scheduled technology upgrades. Also, online transactions will not be able to be processed on that date, such as e-recording and e-filing.

“We are undertaking a major enhancement of our computer system to provide even better service to our taxpayers and customers,” notes Reeves. “I ask for the public’s patience as we complete this upgrade, as there is also a possibility for service interruptions on the 22nd and 23rd.”

This closure affects only the Clerk’s Office. The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) will NOT be closing during that time.
