A Message from the Fire Coordinator
The Fire Service had a busy month, responding to structure fires, brush fires, and weather-related emergencies. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to all fire personnel and emergency services teams for your dedication and teamwork.
Several departments held elections in April. I want to express my appreciation to the outgoing Chiefs for your hard work and commitment. To the newly elected Chiefs, welcome aboard. I look forward to working with you. If your department has had any officer changes, please update your Battalion Coordinator with the new contact information as soon as possible.
The Sullivan County Division of Public Safety will host the 3rd Annual Emergency Services Youth Academy July 20th to 24th at the Emergency Services Training Center. This program is open to teens ages 14–16.
The Burn Ban remains in effect until May 14th. Despite April’s rain, we must stay vigilant and prepared for potential dry conditions.
The Spring and Summer Training Schedules are now posted on our website. The Training Center is available for department use; please contact the Training Coordinator at least two weeks in advance to schedule.
Be Safe
