Liberty, NY – The Sullivan County Department of Public Health’s Certified Home Health Agency (CHHA) has improved its Medicare Care Compare ratings to 3 stars for Quality and an unprecedented 5 stars for Patient Satisfaction, according to www.medicare.gov.
“This achievement reflects the dedication, compassion, and commitment our team brings to patients and families each day,” said Public Health Director Dr. Jessie Moore. “We are very proud and excited to share this wonderful news with the Sullivan County community, as this milestone means even greater confidence in the home health services available right here in Sullivan County. It speaks to our ongoing commitment to safe, reliable, high quality care and to supporting individuals and families at home.”
Moore added that the 5-star rating is especially meaningful because it reflects the trust patients place in the CHHA team and the strong relationships staff build through kindness, respect, and patient-centered care.
“Special thanks to Supervising Public Health Nurse April Novello and Rehab Supervisor Justin Pirino for their dedication to quality improvement, as well as to all CHHA staff for their continued hard work,” stated Tiffany Kahn, Director of Patient Services. “We also thank the patients and families who place their trust in us.”
Health & Human Services Commissioner John Liddle commended the CHHA team for their leadership, professionalism, and focus on quality outcomes.
“This achievement reflects a strong foundation for continued growth, innovation, and responsible stewardship of public resources,” he remarked.
“These quality improvements coincide with CHHA’s strongest fiscal year in recent history, reflecting both enhanced service delivery and a reduced cost burden to taxpayers,” Moore added. “We look forward to continuing to grow, improve, and serve our community with excellence.”
“The dedicated crew of CHHA, and all of Public Health, should be proud of this achievement,” said District 5 Legislator Catherine Scott, chair of the Legislature’s Health & Human Services Committee. “I am honored to represent them, and I am ecstatic about the progress this rating represents. They are testament to the care and compassion that our County employees put into serving our residents.”
