Monticello, NY - On June 19, 2025, Brian P. Specifically, the jury found that on September 24, 2024, following the execution of a search warrant at the Sleepy Hollow Apartment Complex in Monticello, Jorge unlawfully possessed two large capacity ammunition feeding devices, being an “Amend 2” magazine with the capacity to hold 34 rounds of ammunition and a Springfield Armory with the capacity to hold 12 rounds of ammunition, together with in excess of 1/8th of an ounce of cocaine. Jorge, who has one prior felony conviction, faces 22 years of incarceration in state prison to be followed by 13 years of post-release supervision and is due to be sentenced on August 14, 2025, before the Sullivan County Court Judge James R. Farrell, who presided over the trial. This case was prosecuted at trial by Senior Assistant District Attorney Thomas Raleigh with the assistance of Assistant District Attorney Jeffrey Laurice.

Conaty said: “This case highlights the dangerous link between the possession of large quantities of narcotics and deadly weapons that poses violent threats to our County. I applaud the members of my Office who dedicated countless hours to this prosecution, and to the members of the New York State Police Violent Gang Narcotics Enforcement Team (VGNET) that risked their own safety in executing this warrant in a known dangerous location.”
